Meet Oswald, an English Bulldog who has spent six years studying human behavior, negotiating household privileges, and perfecting the art of getting his own way.
Now he's sharing twenty rules for training humans, along with stories about family, friendship, and the dogs who have shaped his life.
Written from Oswald's perspective, this humorous and sometimes touching account reveals what happens when a bulldog decides that the humans are the ones who need instruction.

After six years of observing humans, I had accumulated a considerable body of knowledge. Much of it concerned their peculiar habits, inconsistent expectations, and remarkable willingness to negotiate when confronted by a determined bulldog.
It seemed irresponsible not to document my findings.
The result is A Bulldog's Guide to Training Humans, a collection of twenty rules accompanied by stories from my life.
Papa helped with the typing. I provided the expertise.
The book is about more than training humans, of course. It's also about family, friendship, the dogs who have shared my world, and the unexpected ways we become attached to one another.
Some lessons are amusing. Others take a little longer to understand.
